Booking & Payment Terms

A £100.00 deposit will be required to confirm a booking with the balance due six weeks before arrival. If the date of booking is within the six week period prior to arrival, the full amount will be requested at the time of booking. Late payment may result in cancellation of the dates booked and the Cancellation Policy below will then apply as if you had requested the cancellation.

Cancellation

If you are unfortunate enough to have to cancel your holiday for any reason after booking, the liability for the hire period falls due on booking and therefore we would highly recommend you arrange holiday cancellation insurance to cover this eventuality. In the event of you needing to cancel your stay we will make every effort to re book the cancelled dates. If we can re book the dates we will refund the cost of the accommodation less an administration charge of £25.If we cannot rebook the cancelled dates then the full booking fee will be due If we need to cancel your stay for any reason we will refund any amounts you have paid to us. In the event that we cancel your booking within one month of the date of arrival we will also pay to you an amount of £25

Accuracy of advertising

Whilst every care is taken to ensure the accuracy of our advertising, in addition to providing the facilities offered, we cannot be held liable should there be any changes or alterations that result in the unavailability of those facilities for whatever reason.

Accidents to guests

We cannot be held liable for accidents to guests or loss or damage to their property.

5. Arrival and Departure

All bookings are from 3pm onwards on the day of arrival. To allow the Owner to clean and prepare the apartment to a high standard you are asked to vacate the apartment promptly by 10am on the day of departure or such later time as specifically agreed by the owner.

6. Hirers Responsibility

The hirer is responsible and expected to take all reasonable care of the property. At the end of your stay all equipment, oven, utensils etc together with the Property are to be left clean and tidy.
The hirer, by agreeing to these terms and conditions, certifies that he/she is over 18 years of age and authorised to agree to the terms and conditions on behalf of all members of his/her party.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all keys and car park passes are returned.

7. Occupancy & Use

Use of the property and facilities are restricted to those named on the booking form without prior agreement from the owners. Under no circumstance may occupancy exceed either the maximum amount stated in the website or number of persons named on the booking form. The owners, at their absolute discretion reserve the right to refuse or revoke, without refund, any bookings from parties that may, in their opinion, be unsuitable for the property concerned.

8. Safety

Fire escape plans are located behind each bedroom door. Please note that the owners should be notified at the time of booking if any guests have mobility restrictions to enable specific instructions to be provided.
It is the parent or guardians responsibility to supervise the safety and good conduct of children at all times whilst on the property - the owners do not accept any responsibility resulting from failure to do this. Use of the facilities provided are entirely at your own risk.

9. Acceptance of terms and conditions

The web site is provided conditioned on your acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth in these "standard terms of use." By choosing to use this site, you thereby agree to abide by all such terms and conditions.

10. Smoking and Pets

Please note that both no 11 & 12 Popeshead Courty are strictly No Smoking and pets are not permitted.

11. Other Terms

We do not accept bookings for single sex non-family groups of more than two people.

12. Access

The apartment is normally ready for 3pm at the latest. We would request that you provide an estimated time of arrival. You will be provided with a telephone number to call one hour prior to arrival to ensure a smooth check in process.

13. Departure

Departure is normally before 10.00am other than by specific agreement with the owner.

14. Inclusions

There are no hidden extras. The cost of your accommodation also includes car parking, all utilities, Wi-Fi, all bedding, linen and towels.

Finding Popeshead Apartments

Being in York city centre we are easy to find.

BY CAR

From Leeds Bradford Airport - Take A658 for 14 miles, A59 for 14 miles heading signposted York, A1036 for 1 mile and follow signs for City Centre.

From Manchester Airport - A538, join M56 for 4 m, M60 for 16 miles heading towards Leeds and M62 for 26 m. Join M1 following signs for N Leeds for 10 m, join A1 for 2 m, join A64 for 10 m , A19 for 1 m, A1036 C/Centre for 1 mile, B1227 & bear right.

FROM YORK TRAIN STATION

Walking directions from York Railway Station to Popeshead Court, Peter Lane YO1 8SU.
Turn left upon leaving the railway station onto Station Road.
Follow Station Road crossing the river at Lendal Bridge into Museum Street.
Take the first right off museum street into Lendal Street.
Walk straight on (you will pass the post office and the Mansion House ) into Coney Street.
Walk on down Coney Street until you see a left turn off - Market Street (turn left opposite Boots the Chemist).
Turn left into Market Street. Turn right by Superdrug ( on your right) into Peter Lane.
Popeshead Court is situated at the bottom of Peter Lane on the left (Peter Lane is a cul de sac).
